Thai massage is one of the most ancient forms of treatment, the origins of which can be traced back to
600 BC. According to Thai tradition, its creator was a doctor of Buddha who lived in the 5th century BC.
Dzsíbaka Kumár Bhaccsa laid the foundations for the massage still in use today.
As a healer, he had a great knowledge of the human body and herbs. He summarized the knowledge he
gathered, which still forms the basis of the curriculum of Thai masseuse schools today.
